PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's basketball team fell on the road to Jefferson in a non-conference matchup on Saturday afternoon, 98-71, at the Gallagher Center in Philadelphia.

Bloomsburg (2-5) struggled to find momentum in the early goings of the contest, missing six shots in a row. Jefferson (4-5) amassed 16 points before the Huskies were able to find the basket.

The Huskies trailed by 31 at the break and shot just 8-for-22 from the floor.

A reenergized Bloomsburg team made its way out on to the floor in the second half, as
Louie Wild (Philadelphia, PA/Roman Catholic) drained three consecutive triple to start the half.

Despite outscoring the Rams in the second half, the Huskies were unable to close the gap as they dropped their second to last non-conference game of the season.

Overall, Bloomsburg shot an even 44 percent (22-50) from the floor.

Wild posted a team-high 15 points, shooting 4-for-9, while
Desmond Freeman (Greensboro, N.C./Southeast Guilford) shot 4-for-8 from the field to finish with 11 points.

Jake Nelson (West Chester, Pa./West Chester Rustin) finished with nine points and eight rebounds.
Â
Matt Bengel (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) led the team in bench scoring, racking up 10 of the Huskies' 30 points from the bench.

Bloomsburg returns to action on Thursday, December 14 for a road contest at the University of Charleston at 6 p.m.
