SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. – The Bloomsburg lacrosse team opened Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action with a dominant 13-5 win over Shepherd University, Wednesday afternoon. The Huskies improved to 4-2 and 1-0 in conference play while the Rams dropped to 3-4 for the year and 0-3 in the PSAC East.

Haley Williams (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) got things going for Huskies just over four minutes into action with her first of the game and kicked off a nine-goal run for BU. The run went through the first half and into the third quarter. Williams scored back-to-back goals as she found the back of the net with 9:28 to play in the first.
Amanda Stoll (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) won the ensuing draw and went straight to cage to put the Huskies up 3-0 with 9:12 to play.

Julia LaMura (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) found the back of the net for the first time this year with 7:59 to play in the first and
Kate Roberts (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman) capped the first quarter scoring with her first of the game at the 7:40 mark.

Madison Coyle (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) sandwiched a pair of goals around two from
Cassidy Griffin (Lake Grove, N.Y./Sachem North) to finish the second quarter and start the third.
The Rams got on the board with 8:43 to play in the third quarter to cut the Huskies' lead to 9-1 but
Annie Rollins (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) and Roberts scored back-to-back goals for the Huskies to push the advantage to 11-1. Shepherd cut the deficit back down to nine, 11-2, as Holly Poe scored with 10:52 to play in the fourth.
Kelsey Clauss (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) answered just two minutes later to push the advantage back to 10, 12-2, with 8:51 to play.

The Rams scored three-straight to cut the lead to 12-5 with 1:20 to play but Clauss rounded out the scoring with her seventh of the season with 23 seconds to play to seal the 13-5 win for the Huskies.

Clauss, Williams, and Roberts each had two goals and an assist while Stoll and Rollins scored once and handed out an assist. Stoll led the Huskies with four draw controls while
Maya Fulmer (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) won three and Rollins and Coyle won two.

Delaney Allen (/) caused a pair of turnovers and picked up three ground balls. Stoll picked up four while
Lauren Foley (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) and
Amanda Biehl (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) each had three.
Foley made nine saves in cage for the Huskies to improve to 4-2 on the year. The Rams were 0-5 on free position shots against the Huskies.
Bloomsburg looks to make it two in a row when the Huskies host Millersville on Saturday at Steph Pettit Stadium for a 1:00 pm PSAC East game.
