BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The men's tennis team fell to Millersville by a final score of 5-2 during a home tennis match Friday at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.
Millersville gained the doubles point by winning two of the three doubles, then the Marauders took four of the six singles matches to win by three points.Â
In doubles matches, the Huskies gained a victory in the No. 2 doubles match as Scott Redmond (Paget, Bermuda/Warwick Academy) and Fernando Barros (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Hoosac School) teamed up to defeat Millersville's Jasper de Koning and Yash Kothari by a score of 6-1.Â
Barros additionally went on to win his singles match, beating Kothari by scores of 6-1 in each set to win the No. 6 singles match.Â
Victor Martinez (Barcelona, Spain/Padre Damian Sagrados Corazones) earned the other win of the day in the No. 4 singles match.Â
The men's team is scheduled to play at Chestnut Hill on Thursday before hosting a pair of matches over the weekend. Bloomsburg hosts Kutztown on Saturday and St. Francis on Sunday.Â
