BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg lacrosse team is off to its best start under ninth-year head coach
Shannon Hertz as the Huskies improved to 3-0 with an 11-10 win over IUP, Saturday afternoon. The loss hands IUP its first defeat of the season.

The Huskies jumped out to the early 1-0 lead thanks to
Maya Fulmer's (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) first goal of the year midway through the first quarter, but IUP answered with three-straight goals to take a 3-1 lead in the beginning of the second.
Amanda Stoll (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) cut the lead to 3-2 with 12:26 to play with a free position goal and
Annie Rollins (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) tied the game at 3-3 with her third of the year.

The two teams traded the next two goals before the Huskies grabbed a 5-4 lead thanks to
Reiley Knize's (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) free position goal with 2:48 to play before halftime.
The Huskies' defense held IUP scoreless in the third quarter while Rollins and
Julia Cote (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) each found the back of the net to push the Husky lead to 7-4 with 15 minutes to play in regulation.

IUP cut the lead back to one, 7-6, with back-to-back goals in the first two minutes of the fourth quarter but the Huskies answered with two straight of their own from Cote and
Kate Roberts (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman) to push the lead back to 9-6. Sarah Reustle and Emme Mass found the back of the net on two positions for IUP to get back to within one, 9-8 but Stoll's second of the game gave the Huskies a 10-8 lead. IUP cut the lead back to one, 10-9, but Roberts sealed the Huskies win with her second of the game at 2:35. Mass scored once more for the Huskies, but Stoll took a charge in front of the crease to cause a turnover and give the Huskies' the ball and run out the clock for the 11-10 win.

Lauren Foley (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) had a career-day in net for the Huskies with 15 saves – a career-best – and picked up a ground ball and caused a turnover.

Stoll, Rollins, Cote, and Roberts all had a pair of goals while Stoll and Rollins each had an assist.
Delaney Allen (/) caused three turnovers and picked up three ground balls while Stoll and
Vittoria LaBanca (Denville, N.J./Morris Knolls) each had two CTs.

The Huskies put their three-game winning streak on the line as they travel to Mercy on Wednesday, March 8 for a 3:00 p.m. game.
