BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's lacrosse team battled rainy conditions and the #13/8 East Stroudsburg Warriors in its final home game of the 2023 season. The Huskies dropped a 17-8 decision to the Warriors in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action.

Freshman
Julia Cote (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) led the Huskies' attack with three goals while senior
Annie Rollins (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) handed out a pair of assists to go with a goal. Junior
Amanda Stoll (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) finished the game with one goal and a game-leading nine draw controls.
Madison Coyle (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) finished the day with five draw controls.

Kelsey Clauss (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West),
Maya Fulmer (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley), and
Kate Roberts (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman) all had a goal as well and Roberts dished out one assist.

Defensively, Stoll, Clauss, and
Amanda Biehl (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) led the Huskies with three caused turnovers each while Biehl picked up a team-best five ground balls.
Lauren Foley (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) finished the day with seven saves in cage for BU while Riley DiFore made 12 saves for the Warriors.

ESU got off to a quick start with with three goals in the first 10 minutes before Roberts scored her 31
st of the season to cut the Warriors' lead to 3-1 with 3:39 to play in the first. After Emily Mitarotonda pushed the ESU lead back to 4-1, Cote found the back of the net for the first time with 6:44 to go in the half. Fulmer answered another ESU goal at the 3:46 mark before the Warriors scored two-straight to take an 8-3 lead. Rollins scored to end the half and cut the ESU advantage in half, 8-4, at the break.

The Warriors opened the third quarter with a goal just 49 seconds into play but Stoll had an answer to cut the lead to four, 9-5. The Warriors went on a three-goal run before Clauss ended the quarter with her 19
th of the season to cut the lead to 12-6 at the end of the third.

After Cote opened the fourth with her second of the day, ESU pushed its lead to 17-7 with 3:05 to play with five-straight goals. Cote ended the game with her third to bring the score to its final, 17-8.

The Huskies close out the regular season on Saturday when they travel to Shippensburg, Pa. for a 1:00 p.m. PSAC East contest against the Raiders.
