BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's tennis team picked up its first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference dual win of the spring as the Huskies defeated Kutztown, 6-1, Monday afternoon. Bloomsburg improved to 1-10 and 1-3 in conference play while the Golden Bears dropped to 6-7 and 1-3 in conference play.

The Huskies picked up the doubles point with a pair of wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
Fernando Barros (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Hoosac School) and
Scott Redmond (Paget, Bermuda/Warwick Academy) won 6-4 at No. 2 doubles while
Arnav Sharma (Haryana,India/Suncity School) and
Sergio Dilan (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cedin) took No. 3 doubles 6-3.

The Huskies took five of six singles matches for the dual match win.
Albert Martin (Barcelona/Instituto Menendez y Pelayo) won at No. 1 singles 6-4, 7-6 (11-9) while
Victor Martinez (Barcelona, Spain/Padre Damian Sagrados Corazones) took No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-3. Martinez earned his second win of the day with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.
Vishesh Patel (Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India/Asia English School) won at No. 4 singles 6-2, 6-3.

Redmond and Barros picked up their second wins of the day as Redmond won 6-4. 7-6 (7-2) at No. 5 and Barros won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.

The Huskies return to action on Friday when they travel to Frostburg, Md. to take on West Virginia Wesleyan and Frostburg in a pair of non-conference matches.
