BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's tennis team opened the 2023-24 season at the rain-shortened Husky Invitational over the weekend. The Huskies picked up seven wins between the doubles and singles flights.

Bloomsburg saw two wins from doubles action over the weekend.
Lexi Quackenbush (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) and
Jen McDonald (Melbourne, Australia/Brentwood Secondary College) earned a 7-6 victory over Rider while the duo of
Nicole Ilkovic (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy High School) and
Anna Chikhalenko (Birmingham, Mich./Wylie F. Groves) won 7-7 over Mercyhurst.

The Quackenbush/McDonald duo each picked up a victory in flight D. Quackenbush won 6-3, 6-3 in round one while McDonald claimed a 6-2, 6-1 victory.

Ilkovic also saw success in singles play, earning a 6-7, 6-2, 11-9 win in the opening round of flight A.

Freshman
Riley Noss (Mifflinville, Pa./Central Columbia) won 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 in the first round of flight G, while fellow freshman
Elizabeth Harclerode (Bedford, Pa./Bedford) picked up a 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 victory in round two of the flight.

The Huskies are back in action on Thursday, September 14 for the start of the ITA Regional Championships. The tournament will run from Thursday to Sunday at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.
