BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Huskies women's soccer team picked up its first win of the season on Wednesday night, shutting out Mansfield, 3-0, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup at Steph Pettit Stadium.
Â
Bloomsburg (1-2-2, 1-1-1 PSAC East) opened the scoring in the home opener in the 12th minute. Junior forward
Alena Totten (Neptune, N.J./Neptune) found the back of the net with a header off a ball sent in from the corner by senior midfielder
Alivia Gallardo (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West).

Â
In the second half, the maroon and gold continued to apply offensive pressure, firing off five shots in the first 20 minutes of the half.
Â
In the 67th minute, the continued pressure led to junior midfielder

Â
Just four minutes later, sophomore defender
Lorelei Hartzfeld (Mount Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) took the ball down the left side of the box before finding senior forward
Amanda Stoll (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) in the middle for an easy tap-in to extend the lead to 3-0.

Bloomsburg outshot Mansfield 15-5 while finishing with 9-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Â
Graduate goalkeeper
