BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's soccer team dropped a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup against Lock Haven, 1-0, at Steph Pettit Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Bloomsburg (2-3-2, 2-2-1 PSAC East) controlled much of the first half, outshooting Lock Haven (1-4-0, 1-3-0) 13-2 in the opening 45 minutes. The Huskies recorded six shots on goal while holding the Bald Eagles to just one in the half.

The maroon and gold continued to apply the pressure after halftime, posting five shots between the 55th and 58th minute.

On Lock Haven's first corner of the match in the 75th minute, Janessa Swartz connected with Luca Verello for a header that found the back of the net, handing the Bald Eagles the lead.

Bloomsburg had a variety of chances in the final 15, with its closest being a header from junior
Erin Ranegan (Wilmington, Del./Conrad School of Science) that hit the crossbar.

Ultimately, the Huskies were unable to find an answer for Lock Haven netminder Megan Miller, who posted an 11-save shutout. Graduate goalkeeper
Riley Spingler (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) made four stops in the contest.

Lauren Bull (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia), junior
Ellie Rowe (Hetlerville, Pa./Central Columbia) and Potillo each had a pair of shots on goal.

Bloomsburg returns to action on Wednesday, September 27 for a 7 p.m. matchup at Kutztown.
