WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The No. 9 Bloomsburg Field Hockey team fell 3-2 in overtime to No. 5 West Chester in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup on Tuesday afternoon at Vonnie Gros Field.

West Chester (6-2, 2-0 PSAC East) took the lead late in the second quarter with a deflection goal by Paige Wolfe.

The Golden Rams extended the lead just minutes into the third quarter as Jasmine Miller scored on a reverse chip.

Emily Swineford (Mt. Pleasant Mills, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) got Bloomsburg (7-2, 1-2) on the board two minutes later, finding the back of the net on a penalty corner that was assisted by
Bella Culp (Dauphin, Pa./Central Dauphin).

With just over 10 minutes to go in regulation,
Aydan McFarland (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg Area) was taken down in the shooting circle, earning a penalty stroke. Culp took the shot for the Huskies and slid it past the goaltender to make it 2-2.

60 minutes would not be enough as the Huskies headed to overtime for the second time this season. Unfortunately, the maroon and gold could not complete the comeback is Miller scored the game-winner six minutes into overtime.

Culp finished with a goal and an assist for the third time in the last four game. She is currently on a four-game point streak.

Jackie Nevel (Nescopeck, Pa./Berwick Area) recorded a career-high 14 saves in the contest.
