STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Bloomsburg men's track and field team competed in its first meet of 2024 in the Spartan Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

Dillon Steffy (Elliotsburg, Pa./West Perry High School) shattered his personal-best in the pole vault, clearing 4.17-meters (13' 8.25") to earn fourth place. His previous PR was 3.70-meters.
Tyler Lobos (/) placed tenth in the event with a mark of 3.72-meters.

Junior
Robert Wilson (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) placed ninth in the 400-meter with a time of 51.23. Wilson ran the first leg of the men's 4x400-meter relay, alongside
Andrew Basile (Easton, Pa./Easton Area),
Doug Walsh (Old Forge, Pa./Holy Cross High School), and
Brady Dowell (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township). The team finished ninth with a time of 3:33.00.

Freshman
Peter Tepper (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) ran a 2:00.17 in his collegiate 800-meter debut, placing seventh in the event.
Peyton Riley (Danville, Pa./Danville Area),
Stephen Suwala (Brigantine, N.J./Cedar Creek),
Ryan Duff (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) and Tepper placed tenth in the distance medley relay with a time of 10:42.91.

Walsh and
Shaheem Hill (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) tied for 14th-place in the high jump, each clearing a height of 1.78-meters (5'10").

Track and field will return to action on Saturday, January 20 as the team will split between the Gulden Invitational at Bucknell and the River Hawk Invite at Susquehanna.
