BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's tennis team wrapped up its fall schedule with a 6-1 win over Daemen University, Friday afternoon. The Huskies improved to 2-0 while the Wildcats dropped to 2-5 for the fall.

Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia/) and
Iu Casamitjana (Igualada, Spain/Escola Pia Igualada) started the match off for the Huskies with a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles but Daemen tied the doubles matches at 1-1 with a 6-2 win at No. 1.
Fernando Barros (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Hoosac School) and
Jaime Soria (Pamplona, Spain/Liceo Monjardin) won the point for Bloomsburg with a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead.

Vishesh Patel (Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India/Asia English School) put the Huskies up 2-0 with a 6-1, win by retirement at No. 2 singles and Barrons gave the Huskies a 3-0 lead with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles.
Albert Martin (Barcelona/Instituto Menendez y Pelayo) clinched the fourth point and the match for Bloomsburg with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.

Casamitjana earned his second win of the afternoon with a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 4 singles. Dementev picked up his second win of the day as well with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles.

The Wildcats earned a 4-6, 6-2, 10-4 win at No. 5 singles to avoid the match sweep.
The Huskies' competition for the fall is finished and they will return to the courts on Saturday, February 8, 2025 when they host Morgan State at the indoor courts in Hershey, Pa. The match is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start.
