HERSHEY, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's tennis opened the spring season with a 5-2 win over Frostburg State, Saturday afternoon.

Iu Casamitjana (Igualada, Spain/Escola Pia Igualada) and
Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia/) picked up the first win of the day with a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
Vishesh Patel (Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India/Asia English School) and
Sergio Dilan (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cedin) clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win at No. 1.

Patel earned his second win of the day with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles. The Bobcats cut the lead to 2-1 with a 7-5. 6-3 win at No. 3 singles before
Jaime Soria (Pamplona, Spain/Liceo Monjardin) won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles to give the Huskies a 3-1 match lead.

Alejandro Higuera () clinched the win for Bloomsburg with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles and Casamitjana came back to win 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (2) at No. 4 singles to push Bloomsburg's lead to 5-1.
The Bobcats won the final match of the day, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 singles to close out the Huskies' 5-2 win.

Bloomsburg returns to action next Saturday when the Huskies host Salem University in Hershey, Pa.
