BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg volleyball team defeated Felician with 3-0 (27-25, 25-20, 25-23) sweep in a non-conference clash inside Nelson Field House on Thursday night.

Three Huskies finished the game with double digit kills, with
Marlee Johnson (Newville, Pa./Big Spring) leading the way with 13 kills.
Allison Saalfrank (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) posted a career-high 11 kills while
Katie Kuehl (Aston, Pa./Archmere Academy (Del.)) tallied double digits for the third time in the past four games games with 11.

Elise Adelman (Pataskala, Ohio/Watkins Memorial) record 37 assists in the contest. The sophomore setter eclipsed 1,500 career assists in the contest and sits at 1,516 assists in 175 sets. Adelman also posted a team-leading 14 digs.

Bloomsburg (7-13) 11 kills from five different Huskies in aback-and-forth exchange to open the game that brought the score to 14-14.
Lydia Worthing (Tyrone, Pa./Bellwood Antis), Kuehl and Adelman tallied kills in a five point run that put the maroon and gold ahead 18-14. Felician (6-16) turned the momentum back around with a 6-1 run to make it 20-19 in favor of the Golden Falcons. Bloomsburg regained the lead on a pair of errors from Felician. After the Golden Eagles advanced the score to 24-22, Johnson recorded back-to-back kills to even the score. After a kill from Felician, Worthing, Kuehl and Saalfrank recorded three straight kills to take the first set, 27-25.

The second set opened much like the first, as the teams battled to an early 8-8 score. A 6-1 run from Bloomsburg moved the Huskies to a 14-9 lead. The sequence saw two kills from Saalfrank and kills from Johnson, Kuehl and Adelman. Despite the Golden Falcons' best efforts the Huskies held the lead through the end of the frame, winning 25-20.

Bloomsburg came out dominant in the third set, jumping ahead to an 11-3 lead. The stretch saw kills from Kuehl, Saalfrank, Worthing and Johnson, while
Sophie Wales (Port Matilda, Pa./State College) and
Hannah Robson (Charlotte, N.C./Arborbrook) each notched aces. The two programs exchanged small runs until the score reached 19-14. Felician then posted five-straight points to even the score at 19-19. A 4-3 run moved the Golden Eagles ahead 23-22 before the Huskies closed out the set and the match with three straight points, winning 25-23.

The Huskies are back in action on Friday, October 25 as they host Lock Haven at 6 p.m.
