LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Following one of their best seasons in the last five years, four members of the Bloomsburg football team earned All-PSAC East honors. The Huskies placed one on the first team and three earned second team accolades.

Junior wide receiver
Jerry Griffen-Batchler (Norristown, Pa./Germantown Academy) earned his first All-Conference honor as he was named a PSAC East First Team wide receiver. Griffen-Batchler put together a career year with 48 receptions for 854 yards. He averaged 4.36 catches per game and 17.79 yards per catch. Griffen-Batchler had eight receiving touchdowns and averaged 77.64 yards per game. He had four games with two touchdown catches and three games of 100+ receiving yards. Griffen-Batchler posted six catches for 209 yards and two touchdowns in the Huskies' 35-27 win over Millersville on six catches. His 209 receiving yards were the most by a Husky since 2003. 68 yards came on one touchdown catch for the junior.

Griffen-Batchler also returned kickoffs and punts for the Huskies. He had 11 punt returns for 88 yards and had 324 kickoff return yards on the year. Griffen-Batchler had a conference-best 254 all-purpose yards in the Huskies' win over Millersville. For the year, Griffen-Batchler posted 1,259 all-purpose yards and averaged 114.45 yards per game. He finished second in the conference in receiving touchdowns and fifth in receiving yards and yards per game.

Griffen-Batchler was the Co-Offensive PSAC East Player of the Week once and Special Teams Player of the Week once.

Senior
Giovanni Cancro (Pequannock, N.J./Pequannock Township) earned his second All-PSAC East honor as he was named to the PSAC East Second Team defensive line. Cancro finished the year with 39.0 total tackles, including 4.5 TFL (11 yards) and 2.0 sacks (7 yards). He had three pass breakups out of the d-line and one quarterback hurry. Cancro blocked one kick for the Huskies. For his career, the senior has 99 total tackles, including 11.0 TFL (37 yards) and 2.0 sacks (7 yards). In three seasons, Cancro has five passes defended and two blocked kicks.

Junior
Charles Crews III (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) picked up his first All-PSAC East accolade as he was named to the PSAC East Second Team defensive line as well. Crews had one of his best seasons on the defensive line for the Huskies with 39 total tackles, including 3.5 TFL (14 yards) and 0.5 sacks (4 yards). Crews had a pass breakup and a blocked kick. Against Seton Hill, Crews finished the day with seven total tackles, the second most in a single game for the Williamsport, Pa. native. Crews has 80 total tackles so far in his three-year career, including 6.0 TFL (23 yards) and 0.5 sacks (4 yards).

Senior
Ryan D'Ambra (Southampton, Pa./Archbishop Wood) rounds out the Huskies' all-conference selections with his first nod as an All-PSAC East Second Team linebacker. The Southampton, Pa. native put together one of the best defensive efforts by a Huskies' linebacker in back-to-back years under head coach
Frank Sheptock. For the second-straight season, D'Ambra led the Huskies with 95 total tackles, including 52 solo stops and assisted on 43. He finished the year with 6.5 tackles for loss (23 yards) and had 2.5 sacks (15 yards). D'Ambra had one interception. D'Ambra's pick came on a potential scoring drive for West Chester late in the fourth quarter. D'Ambra finished the year third in the PSAC in solo stops and 28
th in the NCAA DII and was sixth in the conference in total tackles and 32
nd in DII. For his career, D'Ambra has 255 total tackles, 12.5 TFL (43 yards), and 4.0 sacks (30 yards). He has interception, seven passes defended, two forced fumbles, and two blocked kicks. His 95 total tackles this season are tied for 12
th in a single-season.

The Huskies defense posted 55.5 TFL (212 yards and 18.0 sacks (113 yards) this season.

Bloomsburg finished the season 6-5, their first winning season since 2018, and 4-3 in PSAC East play to finish third in the conference.
