INDIANAPOLIS - Bloomsburg men's soccer holds the fourth spot in the first ordered Super-Region 1 rankings released by the NCAA Wednesday afternoon.
The Huskies are currently No. 13 in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll and are having one of the best seasons in program history. Bloomsburg is 14-2-1 overall and 7-1-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division.
The Huskies hold the No. 4 spot as one of three PSAC representatives among the 12 sides ranked. Bloomsburg sits in front of PSAC West opposition Gannon (No. 5) and Seton Hill (No. 12). The seeding would be the highest for a Bloomsburg team in any of the previous three appearances.
Bloomsburg clinched home-field for the PSAC Tournament for the second time in three seasons, with games at Steph Pettit Stadium beginning on Friday, November 15. The Huskies will be making their third consecutive PSAC Tournament appearance for the first time in program history under fourth-year head coach Mark Bassett and are looking to make back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time in Bloomsburg men's soccer history.
The NCAA will release its final rankings before the NCAA Selection Show next Wednesday. To keep up with the Bloomsburg men's soccer program and the rest of Bloomsburg Athletics, follow along online at buhuskies.com or on social media on X(formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook.
