Box Score HERSHEY, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's tennis team battled a tough West Virginia Wesleyan squad Saturday afternoon. The match came down to a third set in the deciding singles match but despite a valiant effort on the part of the Huskies, the Bobcats came away with the 4-3 win.

Bloomsburg opened the match with a sweep at doubles to claim the first team point. Dasha Nakonechna and
Lia-Sophie Seele (Mülheim, NRW, Germany/Luisenschule) posted a dominant 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles before
Lexi Quackenbush (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) and
Nicole Ilkovic (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy High School) gave Bloomsburg the double point with a 6-4 win at No. 1Â doubles.
Alyssa Mazurek (McAdoo, PA/Hazleton Area) and
Alese Rinker (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) closed out the sweep with a 7-6 (7-5) win at No. 3 doubles.

Seele earned her second win of the day with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles while Rinker won 7-5. 6-3 at No. 6 singles.
The Bobcats won at No. 1 singles, 6-3. 6-2, No. 2 singles 3-6, 6-3, 6-1, and No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-4 leaving the match tied 3-3/

Mazurek dropped the first set to Emily Lybarger 7-5 but came back for a strong 6-3 win in set two to tie the No. 5 singles match. Lybarger eventually pulled away in the third set to win 6-4 and clinch the match for West Virginia Wesleyan.

The Huskies return to action on Sunday, March 3 against Salem University in Hershey, Pa.
