Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's tennis team fell to District of Columbia, 7-0, at Burt Reese Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.
 
Lexi Quackenbush (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) and Nicole Ilkovic (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy High School) picked up the Huskies' lone win in the No. 1 doubles match, with a score of 6-2. The Firebirds claimed the doubles point with a 6-3 victory in the No. 2 doubles match and a 6-2 win in the No. 3 doubles contest.
 
In singles action, UDC went 6-0 to take the 7-0 victory. Lia-Sophie Seele (Mülheim, NRW, Germany/Luisenschule) went the distance with Mariona Franco in the No. 3 singles match, claiming the first set by a score of 6-4. Franco tied the contest with a second set, 6-1 victory. Seele was unable to hold on for the win, dropping the third set, 10-5.
 
Bloomsburg is back in action on Saturday, March 9 for a 4 p.m. contest with Frostburg State in Hershey, Pa.
