WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Bloomsburg baseball team dropped both legs of its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) doubleheader with West Chester at Serpico Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Jacob Reifer (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia Area) posted a team-high three hits while the Huskies bullpen combined for 15 strikeouts on the day.

Game One – West Chester 6, Bloomsburg 1
Â
West Chester (27-5, 13-5 PSAC East) got on the board first after Zack Miles was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, scoring Anthony Boccio.

Bloomsburg (12-21, 8-14) tied the game in the top of the fifth with a solo home run from
Josh Wilson (Clinton, Md./Bishop McNamara).

The Golden Rams scored three runs in the bottom of the frame and another pair of runs in the sixth en route to a 6-1 victory over the maroon and gold.

Reifer, Wilson and
Brady Ebbert (Etters, Pa./Red Land) recorded the only hits for the Huskies in game one.

Nate Baranski (Larksville, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) got the start in game one, allowing just two hits and one run with four strikeouts.
Daniel Koppisch (Philadelphia, Pa./Central) was tacked with the loss after allowing five runs and three hits.

Game Two – West Chester 13, Bloomsburg 1

Wyatt Metzger (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) brought Reifer across the plate on an RBI-groundout in the opening frame.

Boccio tied the game for the Golden Rams in the bottom of the first with an RBI-single, before an RBI-double in the second gave WCU the lead.
Â
Bloomsburg battled closely with Westchester until the bottom of the fifth when an 11-run inning pulled the Golden Rams ahead.

Reifer went 2-for-3 from the plate in game two and served as the only run for the Huskies.

Will Dean (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area) got the start and the start and the loss in game two recording six strikeouts in 4.1 innings.

Bloomsburg returns to action on Monday, April 15 for the conclusion of the season-series against West Chester with a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
