WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The #25 Bloomsburg women's lacrosse team hung tough with #2 West Chester, but the Golden Rams pulled away late in the third quarter for a 19-11 win over the Huskies Saturday afternoon. The Huskies dropped to 8-5 on the year and 4-5 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East while the Golden Rams improved to 13-0 and 8-0 in the conference.

The Huskies scored two-straight goals from
Marykate Sitko (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) and
Maya Fulmer (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) in the early stages of the third quarter to the WCU advantage to 10-7 with 9:29 to play. The Golden Rams answered with four-straight goals to push their lead to 14-7 with 3:04 to play in the third.
Madison Coyle (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) score back-to-back goals to cut back into the lead, 14-9, with 15 minutes left to play.

Julia Littlewood answered Coyle's two goals with a pair of her own to open the fourth for the Golden Rams and extend their lead to 16-9.
Katie Fluck (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) halted the run with her second of the year but three more from the Golden Rams pushed their lead to 19-10 with 2:30 to play. Coyle ended the game with her 37
th of the season at the 1:40 mark for the final 19-11 final.

West Chester took an early 2-0 lead with a pair of goals in the first five minutes of the game. The Huskies answered with three-straight from
Brianna Austin (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh),
Reiley Knize (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton), and Fulmer with 3:48 to play in the first. The Golden Rams rattled off three-straight in the final two minutes of the first to re-take the lead, 5-3.

Coyle opened the second quarter with her first of the game at the 14:48 mark and
Cassidy Griffin (Lake Grove, N.Y./Sachem North) tied the game at 5-5 with 13:28 to play in the quarter. The Rams closed out the second and opened the third with five-straight goals for the 10-5 lead with 13:53 to play in the third.

The Golden Rams won the draw control battle 21-12. Coyle led the Huskies with five draw controls. She added four goals, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
Kayla Stressman (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn) and
Amanda Stoll (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) finished with three draw controls apiece.

Defensively, Coyle and
Jada Johnson (Reading, Pa/Governor Mifflin) led the Huskies with two caused turnovers.
Lauren Foley (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) finished the day with 14 saves and a pair of groundballs.

Tori Bruno (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) led the Huskies with three assists while Sitko added an assist to her one goal. Fulmer
scored twice.

Bloomsburg returns to action on Wednesday, April 24 when they welcome Kutztown to Steph Pettit Stadium for a key PSAC East matchup as the regular season begins to wind down. The opening draw is set for 2:00 p.m.
