PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Bloomsburg lacrosse team used a four-goal performance in the third and fourth quarter to defeat Jefferson 14-11, Saturday afternoon. The Huskies improved to 9-6 on the year while the Rams dropped to 7-7.

Trailing by a goal after halftime, senior
Madison Coyle (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) tied the game for the Huskies with her first goal of the season thanks to an assist from
Kate Roberts (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman) at the 13:23 mark. The Rams answered a minute later and took a 9-7 lead with 6:28 to play in the third.

With 5:41 to play in the third,
Julia Cote (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) converted a free position shot to get the Huskies back within one, 9-8.
Brianna Austin (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) tied the game for Bloomsburg with 2:17 to play. The Huskies took the lead with 1:12 to play in the quarter as
Emily Simpson (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) scored to give Bloomsburg a 10-9 lead.

Jefferson scored 41 seconds into the fourth but Coyle answered for the Huskies just under a minute later. The lead did not last as Jefferson scored its final goal with 11:57 to play in the quarter.

Coyle gave the Huskies the lead for good at 9:54 thanks to an assist from
Amanda Stoll (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale). Coyle and
Kayla Stressman (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn) added a pair of insurance goals for Bloomsburg to give Bloomsburg the 14-11 win.

The Rams got off to a hot start with three goals in the first eight minutes of action. The Huskies answered with two in the quarter from Austin and Roberts and opened the second with a goal from Cote and Stoll to take a 4-3 lead. Jefferson tied the game at 4-4 with 6:11 to play in the quarter.
Amanda Stoll (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) and
Marykate Sitko (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) sandwiched a pair of goals around another Jefferson tally to lead 6-5 with 3:12 to go before halftime.

The Rams scored twice in the final two minutes of the first half to take a 7-6 lead into halftime.

The Huskies were a perfect 19-for-19 on clears and won the draw control battle, 16-11. The Huskies picked up 25 ground balls to Jefferson's 22.

Stoll's assist on Coyle's goal with 9:54 to play in the fourth quarter was her 100
th career point at Bloomsburg. Coyle picked up her 100
th career ground ball for Bloomsburg 9:37 to play in the fourth.

Lauren Foley (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) made five saves in cage for Bloomsburg for the win.
