MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's tennis team fell to Millersville, 5-2, but clinched the No. 3 seed in the East for the upcoming Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament. The Huskies are now 12-8 on the year and 4-2 in PSAC East action.

The Huskies won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to clinch the doubles point to open the match. Dasha Nakoenchna and
Lia-Sophie Seele (Mülheim, NRW, Germany/Luisenschule) won 6-3 at No. 2 doubles and
Jen McDonald (Melbourne, Australia/Brentwood Secondary College) and
Alyssa Mazurek (McAdoo, PA/Hazleton Area) won 7-5 at No. 3 doubles.

Nicole Ilkovic (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy High School) picked up the second point for the Huskies with a come from behind win at No. 2 singles. After dropping the first set, 6-2, Ilkovic rebounded for a 6-4 win in the second set and closed out the match with a 7-5 win in the final set.

Lexi Quackenbush (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) took her opponent at No. 1 singles to three sets after dropping the first set 6-4. Quackenbush came back and won 6-3 in the second set. Noelle Htwar finished off the match 7-5 in the third set. Seele also went to three sets after winning the first one 6-3 at No. 4 singles. Sido Rault came back to win the match 6-2, 6-2 in the final two sets.

McDonald played a strong match at No. 5 singles but dropped a three-set match, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6. Mazurek also took her opponent to three sets at No. 6 singles but fell to Sophie Lanius 4-6, 7-6, 6-3.

The Huskies end the regular season against Shippensburg today at the Burt Reese Tennis Center and will square off against No. 2 seed in the East, the Golden Rams, in Wester Chester, Pa. on April 30 to open the PSAC Tournament. The match is set to begin at 4:00 p.m.
