Box Score 4 BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's tennis team picked up three wins over the weekend as it hosted the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships.

In doubles action,
Lexi Quackenbush (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) and
Jen McDonald (Melbourne, Australia/Brentwood Secondary College) picked up a 6-4 victory over Maria Fonseca and Jada Okoye of Fairmont State in the opening round. In the round of 16 the duo fell to Slippery Rock's Alissia Aleksandra Kivi and Nicole Kempton, 1-6. The SRU duo would eventually finish as the tournament runners-up.

The Huskies' other duo of
Dasha Nakonechna (Spain/IOC) and
Lia-Sophie Seele (Mülheim, NRW, Germany/Luisenschule) fell 1-6 in their match.

In singles competition, Nakonechna defeated West Chesters' Gabriella Lerario dos Santos 7-5, 6-4 before falling in the round of 32 to Kivi from Slippery Rock.

Nicole Ilkovic (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy High School) also picked up a singles victory, winning 6-3, 6-4 against Isabelle Oikawa Torres from IUP. Ilkovic dropped her second-round matchup to Slippery Rock's Kempton, 3-6, 1-6.

Quackenbush battled closely in her singles match before ultimately dropping the contest to Edinboro's Sofia Benito, 3-6, 7-5 (7-10). Seele fell 3-6, 2-6 in her match against Kutztown's Isabela De Nadai while McDonald lost to Evelina Martirosyan of West Liberty, 2-6, 3-6.
