Bloomsburg's volleyball team fell to Millersville 3-1 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) contest on Saturday afternoon. 
The Huskies had a total of 51 kills across the four sets with an attack percentage of .088. Three Huskies finished with double-digit kills. 
Marlee Johnson (Newville, Pa./Big Spring) led the team with 17 kills, Kate Kuehl finished with 12 and 
Allison Saalfrank (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) finished with 10. 
Erin Clark (Gilbert, Ariz./Gilbert) and 
Jessica Rimbo (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) combined for over 40 assists, recording 22 and 19 respectively.
Clark and Johnson started Bloomsburg off quickly with two assists and two kills respectively in the first set. Millersville responded with two scores of their own to tie the game back up. Both teams would go back and forth in the set with it eventually being tied 20-20 thanks to a kill from Kuehl. The Marauders would close it out 25-21.
The second set continued the close match up with a 3-3 start with kills from Johnson and Kuehl, both assisted by Clark, along with an attack error by Millersville. The Marauders would then put up an 11-5 score midway through the set. Bloomsburg wouldn't give in though as they would chip away at the lead with another close set at 21-20 Millersville. The Huskies could not take control and lost the set 25-22. 
The Huskies would be down 6-4 early in the third set. Facing a potential sweep, they would score six consecutive points, leading 10-6, with kills from 
Alynna Haggadone (Broomfield, Colo./Legacy), Johnson and 
Sophie Wales (Port Matilda, Pa./State College). Bloomsburg did not lose this lead with a late score of 23-14. Not out yet, the Marauders would start a comeback, closing it to 24-19. Kuehl ended the set with a kill to give the team their only win. 
The Huskies started out hot in the final set with a score of 8-4 thanks to an ace from 
Emily Gustie (Crofton, Md./Crofton) and multiple kills from Saalfrank and Kuehl. The Marauders tied the game 8-8 with four consecutive points. The Huskies lost control while Millersville started to pull away with a 14-9 lead. Determined, the team took back the lead late at 18-17. The Huskies lost all momentum, only able to score one point, losing the set 25-19 and the match 3-1.
Bloomsburg will travel to Lock Haven on October 14 to face the Bald Eagles at 6 p.m. This will be the their second match this season as Bloomsburg looks to split wins with them.
