No. 21 Women's Soccer Falls on the Road at Shepherd

SHEPERDSTOWN, W. Va. - The No. 21 Bloomsburg women's soccer team suffered a 5-1 defeat on the road against Shepherd Saturday afternoon.

The Huskies (9-5-2, 6-5-2 PSAC East) found themselves in an early first-half deficit they could not overcome against the Rams (7-1-6, 6-1-6 PSAC East). Daryn Savage (Bensalem, Pa./Archbishop Wood) found the back of the net for her third goal of the season in the 64th minute.

How It Happened:
Everything clicked for the Shepherd attack on Saturday, managing to go up 4-0 before the halftime whistle.

Haley Bull (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) registered the lone shot on goal for Bloomsburg in the first half. The freshman recorded the effort at the 15-minute mark of the contest.

In the second half, Sydney Donovan (Middletown, Del./Appoquinimink) drew a foul inside the box after getting clipped from behind to earn a penalty kick for the Huskies. Savage stepped up to the spot and delivered with a poised right-footed finish to get one back for the Huskies.

The Rams added one goal in the dying moments of the contest to tack on to the final stat line.

Bloomsburg finished the match with a 10-2 deficit in total shots and a 7-2 difference in shots on goal. Shepherd finished with a slight 2-1 edge in corner kicks.

On the Horizon:
