EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg volleyball team dropped a four-set match to East Stroudsburg inside the Koehler Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.

Marlee Johnson (Newville, Pa./Big Spring) finished with double-digit kills for tenth time this season, leading the team with 11.
Sophie Wales (Port Matilda, Pa./State College) posted a team-leading .333 attack percentage with eight kills.
Sasha Moody (Abington, PA/Abington Senior) and
Katie Kuehl (Aston, Pa./Archmere Academy (Del.)) each tallied seven kills.
Jessica Rimbo (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) recorded 21 assists in the match.

Bloomsburg (8-16, 0-10 PSAC) and East Stroudsburg (19-5, 9-2) traded points back-and-forth to a 4-3 ESU lead. Moody then grabbed hold of the momentum in the set for the Huskies, recording four kills in a 7-0 run to make it 10-4. More back-and-forth battles moved the score to 17-10 in favor of the Huskies before ten straight points from the Warriors swung the lead back to the home team. East Stroudsburg won the set 25-21.

The second set started with traded points as a three-point run helped lift ESU to a 10-7 lead. Bloomsburg responded with its own three-point run to level the score before the Warriors pulled ahead again with four straight points to make it 14-10. The two sides traded three-point runs before the home team shutdown to take the second set, 25-18.

East Stroudsburg picked up where they left off in the third set, taking a 6-2 lead. a pair of aces helped to jump start an 8-1 run for the maroon and gold that swung the score to 10-7 in their favor. After two points from ESU, Bloomsburg notched five-in-a-row to go ahead 15-9. East Stroudsburg responded with a 7-1 run to tie the game at 16-16. The Huskies allowed just three more points as a four-point rally closed out the third set 25-19.

The fourth set was all East Stroudsburg from the start, taking an 8-1 lead. The Huskies were unable to close the gap throughout the remainder of the set, falling 25-16.

Bloomsburg returns to action on Friday, November 7 as they travel to Shepherd for a 7 p.m. match.
