INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA announced the eight-team field for the 2025 NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship, with Bloomsburg Athletics set to serve as the host institution for the national semifinals and championship game at Steph Pettit Stadium on November 21 and 23.

The championship field features eight teams from across Division II, as announced during Sunday's NCAA Selection Show. Quarterfinal matchups will be held on campus sites, with the winners advancing to Bloomsburg for the national semifinals and final.

Top-seeded Newberry enters the tournament as the lone undefeated team in Division II at 19-0 after capturing the South Atlantic Conference championship. Kutztown earned the No. 2 seed following an 18-1 season and a runner-up finish in the PSAC Tournament. PSAC champion Shippensburg, which claimed its second straight conference crown, is the No. 3 seed, while East Stroudsburg earned the No. 4 seed after a 16-3 campaign.

West Chester (13-6) claimed the No. 5 seed out of the PSAC after reaching the conference semifinals, while defending national champion Saint Anselm earned the No. 6 seed following a 16-5 record and an eight-game winning streak capped by the NE-10 title. Assumption (13-6) enters as the No. 7 seed after falling in the NE-10 semifinals, and Bentley (13-8) rounds out the field as the No. 8 seed after advancing to the conference championship game in double overtime.

Quarterfinal contests will be played at campus sites with the following matchups: Newberry hosts Bentley, East Stroudsburg welcomes West Chester, Shippensburg faces Saint Anselm, and Kutztown meets Assumption. The winners will advance to Bloomsburg for the semifinals on Friday, November 21, at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., followed by the national championship game on Sunday, November 23, at 12:30 p.m.

Tickets for the NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship will be available in advance online, with adult single-game tickets priced at $10, seniors and students at $7, and children at $3. All-session passes are available for $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and $4 for children. Day-of-game ticket sales will be cash only.

The 2025 NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship will mark the second time Bloomsburg has hosted the national semifinals and championship since the tournament's expansion and continues the university's long-standing tradition of excellence within the sport.
