Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg women's basketball team loses to Seton Hill 85-49 in the Nelson Field House.
The Huskies struggled shooting from the field, shooting 38% (19-for-50). From deep, they made only four out of 14 shots taken.
Kelly Leszcynski (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) led the pack with 11 points and six rebounds.
Alison Hatajik (Duncansville, Pa./Hollidaysburg) followed behind with 10 points and six rebounds as well.
Maddie LaFrance (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) scored six while
Maddison Maynard (Lansford, Pa./Panther Valley) and
Ava Stevenson (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) both scored two points.
Off of the bench,
Lex Ferguson (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) scored seven points,
Sophia Shults (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area) had four,
Kalleigh Nerone (Pittsburgh, Pa./Highlands) scored three points and both
Piper McGinley (Glenside, Pa./Abington) and
Kash Santos (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) both ended the game with two.
First Half:
The Huskies struggled in the first quarter, scoring two early points and then not being able to score another point until Ferguson had a layup with 6:07 left. The team only scored 11 points in the quarter, including a three from LaFrance. The Huskies ended the quarter down 24-11.
The Huskies' struggles continued as the Griffins started to pull away with a borage of free throws. The half ended with the Huskies down 46-22.
Second Half:
In the third, Bloomsburg started out well with a three from LaFrance, layups from Maynard, Leszcynski and Stevenson and a turnaround jumper from Hatajik. The lead was brought down to 50-34. The Griffins then went on a 12-0 run to bolster the lead to 62-34. The quarter ended 64-37 after a layup from Shults and a free throw from Nerone.
After some scoring from Santos, Ferguson, Shults, McGinley and a three from Hatajik in the fourth, the game ended with a final of 85-49.

The Huskies will travel to Philadelphia to face Jefferson on Dec. 30. Tip off will be at 2 p.m.
