BROOKFIELD, Ill. - The Don Hansen Football Committee has released the 2025 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America teams. Senior wide receiver Jerry Griffen-Batchler (Norristown, Pa./Germantown Academy) earned All-America Honorable mention honors for his first career national award.

The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988. Griffen-Batchler is the first Husky to earned recognition since Chris Monaco was an honorable mention defensive back in 2022.

Griffen-Batchler put together one of the finest seasons by a wide receiver in program history to cap an equally impressive career in the maroon and gold. The Norristown, Pa. native started 10 games during the 2025 campaign and emerged as one of the most complete offensive threats in Division II, finishing the season with 53 receptions for 854 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging 16.1 yards per catch and 85.4 yards per game.

A consistent big-play presence, Griffen-Batchler recorded a receiving touchdown in seven of his 10 appearances and posted four 100-yard receiving performances, including a season-high 109 yards at West Chester and a seven-catch, 107-yard effort against nationally ranked Kutztown. He also delivered multiple-touchdown performances against Edinboro and East Stroudsburg, continuing a trend of rising to the moment against PSAC East competition.

In addition to his work in the passing game, Griffen-Batchler proved to be a dynamic weapon in the return game throughout the season. He returned 13 kickoffs for 232 yards and added three punt returns for 58 yards, highlighted by a season-best 108 kick return yards and 59 punt return yards at Fairmont State. His all-around production underscored his versatility and value, as he consistently impacted games in multiple phases.

Griffen-Batchler's All-America recognition caps a standout career that saw him develop into one of the most dynamic wide receivers in Bloomsburg history. A two-time PSAC First Team selection in 2024 and 2025, he finished his career with multiple program single-game highs, including a career-best 209 receiving yards against Millersville in 2024 and six games with two receiving touchdowns. He also produced career highs of 270 all-purpose yards, 10 receptions in a game, and multiple performances as a primary return specialist.

Over four seasons, Griffen-Batchler steadily expanded his role and production, progressing from a versatile contributor as a sophomore to the focal point of the Huskies' offense as an upperclassman. He totaled receptions, rushing attempts, and return yards across every phase of the game, finishing his career with memorable performances against PSAC rivals and national contenders alike. He finished his career ranked fifth in all-time receptions with 164 and fourth in receiving yards with 2,487.

With his Honorable Mention All-America honor, Griffen-Batchler becomes the first Bloomsburg player to earn national recognition since 2022 and further cements his place among the program's all-time greats. He is the first wide receiver since Brahin Bilal to receive any All-America honors when he was named a D2football.com Honorable Mention Wide Receiver in 2006 and the first Don Hansen/Football Gazette All-American Wide Receiver since Mike Lelko was a second team honoree in 2000.
