PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – A pair of home runs highlighted the Bloomsburg baseball team's first win of the season as they took down Holy Family, 6-3, on Saturday afternoon.

Greg Cristino (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) and
Ben Jones (Fallschurch, Va./George C. Marshall) each launched home runs over the fence as they pair combined for four RBIs for Bloomsburg (1-4). Jones went one-for-two at the dish, recording the Huskies first home run of the season. Cristino and
Jeremy Cawley (Duryea, Pa./Pittston Area) each tallied two hits in the contest.

After the Huskies left the bases loaded in the first inning,
Josh Wilson (Clinton, Md./Bishop McNamara) lead of the second with a single to left field. A sacrifice bunt from
Eli Riley (Harrisburg, Pa./Mercersburg Academy) moved Wilson to second before Jones launched a two-run shot over the left field wall to put the Huskies on the board. The homer was Jones' first collegiate hit.

Holy Family (0-1) got one run back in the bottom of the third, scoring on a sacrifice-fly.

The fifth saw Jones lead of the inning with a walk before Cawley singled to centerfield. A sacrifice bunt from
Jacob Reifer (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia Area) moved both runners into scoring position before Cristino gave the Huskies its' two-run lead back on a groundout to the shortstop.

Wilson brought in the maroon and gold's fourth run of the day in the sixth inning on a flyout to right field, scoring
Nico Ingalls (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) from third.

The Tiger put the pressure back on Bloomsburg in the bottom of the sixth, driving a two-run single to left field to make the score 4-3.

Cristino lead off the ninth inning by going deep and notching his first home run as a Husky, moving the score to 5-3.
Mike Miller (Lafayette Hill, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) then drew a walk before Chistian LaBarbera came in to pinch run for the designated hitter. LaBarbera then stole second before advancing to third on a dropped third strike.
Brady Ebbert (Etters, Pa./Red Land) brought in LaBarbera home on a sacrifice fly for the Huskies' last run of the day.

Matthew Marsten (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) escaped a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the ninth, picking up the save in the process.
Brock Hammaker (Lancaster, Pa./Donegal) picked up his first collegiate win, striking out three batters and allowing just two hits and no runs in 1.2 innings pitched.

The Huskies concluded its three-game series with Holy Family on Sunday, February 23 with a doubleheader beginning at noon.
