PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Bloomsburg baseball team plated 25 runs across two games, completing its series sweep over Holy Family, 13-10 and 12-10, on Sunday afternoon.

Brady Ebbert (Etters, Pa./Red Land) had a stellar day at the plate, going five-for-eight on the day with seven RBIs and five runs. The shortstop's day was highlighted by a three-run home run in game one.

Eight different Huskies tallied hits on the day while the team posted three home runs, a triple and five doubles.

Game One – Bloomsburg 13, Holy Family 10
Â
Bloomsburg (3-4) fell behind in the second inning, as Holy Family (0-3) plated a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame to take a 2-0 lead.

The top of the fourth saw
Greg Cristino (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) and
Mike Miller (Lafayette Hill, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) draw a pair of walks to lead off the inning before
Nico Ingalls (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) loaded the bases for the Huskies with a single. Ebbert then rifled a double down the rightfield line to score Cristino and Miller to tie the game. Later in the frame,
Ben Jones (Fallschurch, Va./George C. Marshall) sent a two-RBI single to right field to put the Huskies ahead, 4-2.

Bloomsburg went right back on the offensive in the fifth, as Cristino sent a lead-off single up the middle. Back-to-back walks loaded the based for Ebbert yet again as he drove in a run with a single down the rightfield line.
Josh Wilson (Clinton, Md./Bishop McNamara) then sent one down the leftfield line to score a run, leaving the bases loaded for
Corey Daniels (Forest City, Pa./Forest City). Daniels then knocked a bases-clearing triple to left centerfield before Jones brought him home for the Huskies tenth run of the day.

The sixth inning saw Ebbert put one over the rightfield wall, as the three-run shot gave the maroon and gold a 13-3 lead. A late surge from the Tigers was not enough as the Huskies went on to win 13-10.

Ebbert went 3-for-4 from the dish in game one, recording six RBIs and three runs while falling a triple short of the cycle.

Daniels went three-for-three and posted three RBIs. Cristino went 2-for-4 at the plate and scored a pair of runs.

Riley Powers (Vidalia, Ga./Vidalia) picked up the win, striking out five batter and allowing three hits and three runs in 4.1 innings pitched.

Game Two – Bloomsburg 12, Holy Family 10
Â
Bloomsburg got on the board first in game two, with Cristino bring
Jacob Reifer (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia Area) in from second on an RBI-single up the middle.
Â
Holy Family took the lead on two runs in the bottom of the first before tacking on a third in the second inning.

After
Ryan Flury (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) led off the third inning with a single to centerfield,
Jeremy Cawley (Duryea, Pa./Pittston Area) put one out to left centerfield. The single moved Flury to third base before scoring on an error from the shortstop.

Ingalls led off the fourth with a solo home run to left field to tie the game. In the subsequent at-bat Ebbert posted his second double of the day before Wilson sent a two-run home run over the centerfield wall to put the Huskies up 5-3. Later in the inning, Cawley reached on a hot by pitch before stealing second and third. This allowed Reifer to bring home the second baseman on a single up the middle to extend the Huskies advantage to 6-3.

Holy Family pulled within one on a two-RBI double in the bottom of the fourth.

In the fifth, Jones came in to pinch hit before immediately recording a double to lead off the inning. Jones moved to third on a wild pitch before Ingalls drew a walk to put runners on the corners. Ingalls then stole second before Ebbert put an RBI-single through the right side to put Bloomsburg up 7-5. Wilson then sent a single up the middle to score Ingalls and move the lead to 8-5. Daniels singled to center field to load the bases before the Huskies drew back-to-back walks and go ahead 10-5. Bloomsburg tacked on its fourth of the inning, as Daniels scored on a wild pitch. Jones posted his second hit of the inning on an RBI-single to score Reifer from second base.

The Tigers posted five runs in the bottom for the fifth before putting the pressure on the maroon and gold again in the fifth. After the leadoff batter drew a walk,
Scott Gilbert (Scranton, Pa./Abington Heights) came in as a relief pitcher and immediately picked off the runner at first. The senior then sent the next to batters down swinging, giving the Huskies the 12-10 victory.

Five different Huskies recorded multiple hits in the second game, including Wilson who posted a team-leading three RBIs.

Nolan Walker (North Wales, Pa./North Wales) earned the win for the Huskies, striking out four and allowing no hits in 1.2 innings pitched.
Scott Gilbert (Scranton, Pa./Abington Heights) earned the save with his impressive seventh inning showing.

 Bloomsburg is back on the road next weekend as they take on Seton Hill in a three-game series beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 1.
