GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg baseball team split a doubleheader with Seton Hill, dropping game one 13-0 before taking game two 4-1, on Friday afternoon.

The Huskies tallied 10 hits in the twin bill, including eight hits in the second game.
Greg Cristino (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial),
Corey Daniels (Forest City, Pa./Forest City) and
Nico Ingalls (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) each posted multiple hits on the day.

Game One – Seton Hill 13, Bloomsburg 0

Seton Hill (6-2) scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the opening frame, as Owen Henne scored Brady McGuire on a groundout to second base.

Casey O'Brien (Moosic, Pa./Riverside) registered the first hit of the day for Bloomsburg (4-5) in the third, singling through the left side.

The third inning saw the Griffins double its lead on another RBI-groundout to score Henne. SHU score six runs in the fourth inning, capitalizing on four walks from the Huskies' bullpen. Henne tacked on another run in the fifth, sending a solo shot over the left field wall. The sixth inning saw Jack Whalen send a two-RBI triple to left field before scoring on a wild pitch to make the score 13-0.

Daniels and O'Brien recorded hits in the contest for the maroon and gold.
Daniel Koppisch (Philadelphia, Pa./Central) earned the loss for the Huskies, allowing six hits and six runs in 3.1 innings.

Game Two – Bloomsburg 4, Seton Hill 1

The Griffins continued their momentum into game two, scoring an unearned run in the first inning to take the lead.

Bloomsburg responded with a two-out rally in the third, starting with Cristino getting hit by a pitch. A fielding error from the pitched allowed Ebbert reach first.
Ben Jones (Fallschurch, Va./George C. Marshall) then singled to left field to score Cristino from second and tie the game. Ingalls then stepped up to the plate and notched an RBI-single of his own to Bring Ebbert home and give Bloomsburg a 2-0 lead.

Ebbert gave the Huskies a pair of insurance runs in the seventh inning as the lefty blasted an opposite-field home run over the tall left field wall and put Bloomsburg ahead 4-1.

The maroon and gold tallied eight hits in the second game while holding SHU to three. After allowing two hits in the first inning, the Huskies held Seton Hill hitless for the next seven frames.

Cristino and Ingalls each went 2-for-4 from the plate in the second game while Ebbert tallied two RBIs and two runs.

Riley Powers (Vidalia, Ga./Vidalia) picked up his second win of the season, striking out four batters while allowing just one unearned run and two hits across six innings pitched.
Landon Lorson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) earned the save, giving up just one hots while recording a pair of strikeouts in three innings.

Bloomsburg returns to action on Tuesday, March 11 as they welcome Lock Haven to town for the home opener at 3 p.m.
