UITCA, N.Y.- The Bloomsburg women's track & field team had another strong weekend at the Blue & Orange Invite and Frastrack National Invite.
Freshman
Abigail Parise (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) continues to be a force on the track as she took fourth in 60-meter hurdle prelims to qualify for the finals. She took fourth overall with a PSAC time of 9.34. Madeline Ikeler joined her and took fifth overall at 9.47.
In the field events,
Aria Messner (Avoca, Pa./Pittston Area) took fifth overall in the high jump as she cleared 1.50 meters (4' 11").
Messner also took third overall in the long jump at 5.28 meters (17' 4").
Anika Krasnai (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) finished seventh at 5.14 meters (16' 10.5") and Parise finished eighth (5.13 meters • 16' 10").
Devin Hubler (Minersville, Pa./Minersville Area) took sixth overall in the triple jump as she hit 10.92 meters (35' 10").
Becca Martin (Wellington, Fla./Cushing Academy) had her second-best throw of the season as she took fourth overall in the shot put as she tossed a 12.11 meters (39' 8.75").
On Friday night at the Fastrack National Invite,
Sydney Werner (Reading, Pa./Conrad Weiser) ran her fastest time this season in the 1-mile with a time of 5:19.69 to take 19
th overall and qualify for the PSAC Indoor Championships.
Jaime Diedel (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) also had a season-best time to qualify for the Indoor Championships as she took 24
th overall with a time of 5:18.26.
Coral Shivok (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) finished seventh overall in the pole vault as she cleared 3.35 meters (10' 11.75"). She cleared the mark on her final jump of the day.
Bloomsburg returns to the track on Saturday, February 15 as they split the squad between the SPIRE Indoor games in Geneva, Ohio and the SU Invitational hosted by Susquehanna.
