BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Huskies' offense was firing on all cylinders as the Bloomsburg lacrosse team defeated Holy Family, 18-4, Wednesday afternoon. The Huskies improved to 4-2 while the Tigers dropped to 1-4 on the season.

The Huskies got goals from 10 different players while 12 different Huskies found their way on the stat sheet with a least one point.
Brianna Austin (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) and
Tori Bruno (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) led the way with five points each while
Marykate Sitko (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) finished the day with four. Austin had a pair of goals to go with three assists while Bruno dished out five assists for the Huskies. Sitko and
Kayla Stressman (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn) each had three goals while Sitko added an assist to her point total.
Reiley Knize (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton),
Delaney Fox (Barto, Pa./Boyertown), and
Mia Boccippio (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) each had a pair of goals for the Huskies.
Abby Seifert (Laurel, N.Y./Mattituck) finished the day with a goal and an assist.
Defensively,
Samantha Keck (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) led the way with three caused turnovers and two ground balls. Keck won three draw controls as well.
Emily Simpson (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) and
Alexis Guzylak (Corning, N.Y./Horseheads) each had two caused turnovers while Guzylak and Fox led the team with three ground balls.

Lauren Foley (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) earned the win in cage for the Huskies with four saves in 45:00 minutes of action while
Emily Graham (Wantagh, N.Y./St. Anthony's) had one save in the final 15 minutes.
Keck, Sitko, and
Emily Gauker (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) all won three draw controls for the Huskies.

Boccippio got the Huskies on the board quickly in the first quarter and never looked back. The Huskies won the opening draw control, but Stressman's first shot attempt was saved. The Tigers turned the ball over on their first clear attempt and Bloomsburg took over. Austin and Sitko each had a shot go wide before Boccippio took a pass from Austin to score the game's first goal with 13:42 to play. Sitko gave the Huskies a 2-0 lead just two minutes later before Seifert, Boccippio, Knize, and Fox closed out the quarter with a goal each in the final four minutes.

Stressman pushed the lead to 7-0 just 14 seconds into the second quarter before Holy Family scored its first goal at the 14:31 mark.
Maya Fulmer (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley), Guzylak, and Knize extended the lead to 10-1 with 5:03 to play before halftime and the Tigers ended the half with a goal from Julia Gallardo to give the Huskies a 10-2 lead at the break.

Austin opened the third quarter with her first of the game at the 12:33 mark before Sitko kicked off the running clock with the 12-2 lead at 4:37 to play in the third. Stressman scored back-to-back goals in the final three minutes of the quarter for the 14-2 Bloomsburg lead.

Simpson opened the fourth quarter with her first goal of the game with 14:40 to play before Holy Family cut the lead back to 15-3 with 13:05. Austin and Fox scored their second goals of the game before Lexi Ryan got on the board for the Tigers with 2:21 to play. Sitko capped the scoring with 1:19 to play for the 18-4 win.

The Huskies out-shot Holy Family 45-12 and won the draw control battle 14-12. The Huskies were 12-for-14 on clears while Holy Family finished 8-for-28. Holy Family won the ground ball battle 26-25.

Bloomsburg gets back to action on Saturday when the Huskies travel to Wilmington (Del.) for an 11:00 a.m. non-conference contest on March 15.
