HERSHEY, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's tennis team swept Shepherd, 7-0, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) contest on Saturday evening.
 
Originally scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at Shepherd, rain moved the contest to 6 p.m. at a neutral site in Hershey.
 
Bloomsburg (7-2, 2-1 PSAC) started strong with a commanding sweep of the doubles point. The No. 1 doubles squad of 
Sergio Dilan (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cedin) and 
Vishesh Patel (Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India/Asia English School) won 6-1 while 
Albert Martin (Barcelona/Instituto Menendez y Pelayo) and 
Jaime Soria (Pamplona, Spain/Liceo Monjardin) picked up a 6-1 victory of their own from No. 2 doubles. 
Arnav Sharma (Haryana,India/Suncity School) and 
Landon Wall (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca High School) tallied a 6-2 win at the No. 3 doubles slot.
 
Alejandro Higuera (), Soria and Dilan each posted 6-0, 6-0 victories from No. 3 singles, No. 4 singles and No. 6 singles, respectively.
 
Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia/) won the 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 1 singles match against Arka Ganguly, while 
Iu Casamitjana (Igualada, Spain/Escola Pia Igualada) took the No. 2 singles bout, 6-2, 6-2 over Fabian Telschow. Wall played in the Huskies closest match of the day, winning 6-2, 6-3 from the No. 5 slot.
 
Bloomsburg is back at Burt Reese Tennis Center on Tuesday, April 15 as they host Kutztown at 3 p.m.
