Â
M. Miller responded in the bottom of the frame with an RBI-double of his own to score Balestrini.

Â
The top of the fourth saw
Riley Powers (Vidalia, Ga./Vidalia) retire the side in just seven pitches while picking up a pair of strikeouts.
Â
High winds and rain saw Bloomsburg put its battle against the Golden Bears on hold as they battled the tarp during a 40-minute weather delay.
Â
Coming out of the delay,
Ben Jones (Fallschurch, Va./George C. Marshall) lead off the bottom of the fourth with a double to left centerfield. Jones would be brought home three batters later on an RBI single to second base from Balestrini.
Â
Kutztown got the run back in the top of the fifth before a two-RBI single from Jones pulled the maroon and gold within three.
Â
The Golden Bears pulled away in the sixth, scoring seven runs on three hits en route to the victory.
Â
Landon Lorson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) was tacked with the loss, allowing seven runs on nine hits in 2.2 innings pitched. The Huskies bullpen combined for nine strikeouts.
Â
Game Two – Kutztown 5, Bloomsburg 2 (6 innings)
Â
The Golden Bears opened the scoring in game two with a sacrifice-fly from Nick Varda in the first. Jared Ferguson brought a second run across the plate for KU with a single up the middle.
Â
Similar to game one, M. Miller contributed to the maroon and gold's first run of the game, this time sending a solo home run over the left centerfield wall.
Â
Bloomsburg leveled the score in the second as
Judah Miller (Halifax, Pa./Halifax) scored
Jacob Reifer (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia Area) on a sacrifice-fly.
Â
Kutztown posted three runs in the sixth inning to take a 5-2 lead late in the contest.
Â
The Huskies were unable to tie the contest in the bottom of the frame before the game was called due to darkness.
Â
Brock Hammaker (Lancaster, Pa./Donegal) went 5.2 innings with three strikeouts, picking up the loss in the nightcap.
Â
Bloomsburg returns to action on Friday, April 18 as they travel to No. 10/21 West Chester for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
