Women's Tennis Wins PSAC East Title With 7-0 Win Over Shippensburg in Regular Season Finale

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's tennis team claimed the 2025 PSAC East Regular Season title with a 7-0 win over Shippensburg, Saturday afternoon. The Huskies end the regular with 13-2 record and a perfect 6-0 slate in the PSAC East. The Raiders wrap up the year at 8-13 and 1-5 in conference action.
 
Brooke Henry (Saint Mary's, PA/Saint Mary's Area) and Lexi Quackenbush (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) opened the match with a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles. After Maddie Delisio (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin High School) and Lily Sierka () won 7-5 at No. 3 doubles, Alyssa Mazurek (McAdoo, PA/Hazleton Area) and Juliana Kim (Ridgefield, NJ/Ridgefield Memorial High School) clinched the doubles point with a 7-6 (7-3) win at No. 2 doubles.
 
Lia-Sophie Seele (Mülheim, NRW, Germany/Luisenschule) gave the Huskies a 2-0 match lead with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles. Quackenbush pushed the Bloomsburg lead to 3-0 with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles.
 
Jen McDonald (Melbourne, Australia/Brentwood Secondary College) clinched the win for the Huskies for the second-straight match with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles. Dasha Nakonechna (Spain/IOC) won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and Nicole Ilkovic (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy High School) picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles for the 5-0 Huskies' lead.
 
Mazurek finished out the match with a 0-6, 6-2, 13-11 comeback win at No. 6 singles to complete the match sweep.

Bloomsburg returns to action on Friday, May 2 for the PSAC Women's Tennis Championship Tournament semifinals match at Burt Reese Tennis Center. The Huskies will take on the winner of No. 2 Slippery Rock/No. 3 California (Pa.) quarterfinals for a trip to the PSAC Championship game.
