BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's tennis team's run in the 2025 PSAC Tennis Championship tournament came to an end Friday afternoon after the Huskies fell to Slippery Rock, 4-0, at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.

The Rock jumped ahead in doubles play with a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles. Nicole Kempton and Alissia Kivi pulled ahead 5-0 at No. 1 doubles but
Lexi Quackenbush (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) and
Nicole Ilkovic (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy High School) chipped away and closed the gap to 5-3 before the Rock closed out the doubles point 6-3 at No. 1.
Jen McDonald (Melbourne, Australia/Brentwood Secondary College) and
Alyssa Mazurek (McAdoo, PA/Hazleton Area) were ahead 3-2 at No. 3 doubles when the match was called.

Slippery Rock won at No. 2 and 1 singles to take a 3-0 match lead before Dari Sakhanova clinched the win for the Rock at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-1.

Lia-Sophie Seele (Mülheim, NRW, Germany/Luisenschule) won her first match at No. 4 singles but was trailing her second set 3-2 and McDonald battled back to lead 2-1 in her second set after dropping the first 6-4 at No. 3 singles.

The Huskies are currently ranked #7 in the Atlantic Region and look forward to the NCAA selection show on Monday, May 5 for a possible at-large bid to the NCAA Championship Tournament.
