SHEPHERDSTOWN, Pa. – The Bloomsburg baseball team hit four home runs in a game one victory in its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) doubleheader against Shepherd before falling in a tightly-contested second game on Thursday afternoon.

Josh Wilson (Clinton, Md./Bishop McNamara) hit a pair of home runs in the opening bout while tallying five RBIS on the day.
Nathan Kress (Lansdale, Pa./La Salle College H.S.) went 4-6 on the day with two runs, including a perfect 3-for-3 performance in the nightcap.

Game One – Bloomsburg 9, Shepherd 7

Bloomsburg (21-26, 10-16 PSAC East) posted two runs early as
Mike Miller (Lafayette Hill, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) sent a shot over the left field fence to give the Huskies an early advantage.

Shepherd (23-25, 10-16) responded in the bottom of the frame as Aidan Greaney gave the Rams the lead on a three-run home run to left field.

The maroon and gold tied the contest in the second as a sacrifice fly from
Nathan Kress (Lansdale, Pa./La Salle College H.S.) allowed
Jacob Reifer (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia Area) to score.

Wyatt Miles put the home team back ahead in the third, sending a two-run homer to left field to make it 5-3.

It was
Josh Wilson's (Clinton, Md./Bishop McNamara) turn to go yard in the fourth inning as he launched the game-tying home run over the left field wall, scoring Reifer in the process.

Freshman
Anthony Trommer (Trevose, Pa./Neshaminy) gave the Huskies the lead in the sixth with his first collegiate home run.

Wilson extended Bloomsburg's lead in the seventh, sending his second home run of the game over the left field fence to score a trio of runs. Shepherd scored twice in the bottom of the frame but the Huskies held on for a 9-7 victory.

Daniel Koppisch (Philadelphia, Pa./Central) picked up his fourth win of the year after striking out six batters in a five-inning outing.
Pete Modrovsky (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) earned his second save of the season, with no earned runs on three hits and one strikeout.

Game Two – Shepherd 4, Bloomsburg 3

Shepherd took an early lead in the nightcap, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first on a pair of RBI-singles to left field.

Trommer got the Huskies on the board in the third, scoring Kress on an RBI-single to right centerfield.
Â
Aidan Greaney's second home run of the day put the Rams back up by two in the bottom of the third.

Scoring stalled for both sides until the top of the sixth when
Greg Cristino (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) launched a solo shot over the fence in left centerfield.

The Rams responded in the bottom of the inning with an RBI-single down the left field line to make it 4-2.

Corey Daniels (Forest City, Pa./Forest City) pulled Bloomsburg back within one with and RBI-single in the seventh to score Kress. The Huskies could not complete the comeback as the they fell 4-3.

Landon Lorson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) struck out six batters in a complete-game loss, allowing four runs on seven hits.

Shepherd's Daniel Quintana earned his eighth win of the season while striking out six batters in 5.2 innings. Eli Lam earned the save in 1.1 innings while striking out three.

The Huskies are back in action on Friday, May 2 as they host Shepherd for Military Appreciation Day and the final game of the 2025 season. The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by retired Major General James McCormack prior to the start of the 1 p.m. doubleheader
