DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The No. 6-ranked Bloomsburg field hockey team showcased its high-power offense in a 10-1 road victory against Mercy on Sunday afternoon.

Bloomsburg (5-0) saw goals from seven different goal scorers while
Genna Bush (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) notched her first career hat-trick. It is the highest-scoring road victory for the Huskies since a 13-1 defeat of Newberry on September 7, 2014.

It took just 18 seconds for the Huskies to get on the board as
Sophie Lawler (Newport, Pa./Newport) forced a turnover before finding Bush in front of the net. Bush took the pass deposited it through the five hole for her first of the game.

The maroon and gold did not wait long before finding the back of the net again, as Lawler scored just 88 seconds later. Lawler took a pass from
Kate Ferguson (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) at the top of the shooting circle and fired it inside the post.

Five minutes later, Ferguson connected with Bush on a scrum in front of the net for the Huskies third goal of the game.
Alli Bucher (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) scored 80 seconds later by hammering home a rebound for Bloomsburg's fourth of the quarter.

At the 10:53-mark, Charlotte Sabert got Mercy (1-4) on the board. It is the first goal the Huskies have allowed all season ending Bloomsburg's shutout streak at 250 minutes and 53 seconds.

The Mavericks held the maroon and gold scoreless for much of the second quarter, until
Arianna Deliso (Easton, Pa./Easton) found the back of the net with 51 seconds left for her first career goal.

On a penalty corner halfway through the third quarter, Bush completed the hat-trick by deflecting a shot from
Kaylyn Elliott (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) to make it 6-1.

The Huskies ramped up the scoring again in the fourth quarter as
Lexy Freed (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) scored on an assist from Deliso 85 seconds in.

Jordan Bond (Dallas, Pa./Dallas) notched her first of the year at the 51:27 mark before
Emma Hornbaker (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) made it 9-1 just 65 seconds later. Bloomsburg scored its final goal of the game with five and a half minutes to go as Deliso posted her second of the game.

The Huskies outshot Mercy 36-5 while holding a 31-3 advantage in shots on goal.

Bloomsburg kicks off its five-game homestand on Wednesday, September 17 as they face off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 4 p.m.
