BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg women's tennis team started the dual match season 1-0 after sweeping Lock Haven, 7-0.

The Huskies opened the match with with doubles seeing Dasha Nakonechna (Spain/IOC) and Lia-Sophie Seele (Mülheim, NRW, Germany/Luisenschule) winning the No. 1 flight 6-2. The team of Macarena Arisio (San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina/SEADEA) and Lily Sierka (/) took the No. 2 flight 6-1. Finally, the third flight ended with a victory for Maddie Delisio (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin High School) and Sarah Buck () 6-0. 

In the singles, the Huskies swept every flight except for the top flight. Buck took the No. 5 flight 6-0, 6-0. Sierka won the No. 4 flight 6-0, 6-0. Nicole Ilkovic (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy High School) made her debut in the match winning 6-0, 6-0. 

The No. 2 singles ended with Seele winning 6-0, 6-0 and Delisio winning 6-0, 6-0. The match ended with Nakonechna taking the top flight 6-2, 6-1. 

Bloomsburg will travel to Clarion on September 26 to play at 3 p.m.
