LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - After netting the game-winning goal and helping No. 24 Bloomsburg men's soccer to its third shutout of the season, junior defender Theo Jackson (Elmore, Ohio/Woodmore) was named PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Jackson's insertion into the lineup in his first season with the Huskies has brought a blend of offensive and defensive acumen on display. The Ohio native helped spark Bloomsburg's efforts in the team's 1-0 win over Frostburg State with a long-range strike for his first career goal. As a team, the Huskies held the Bobcats to just seven total shots in the match and two in the second half.
Jackson's efforts with the Bloomsburg defense have helped the team to a current three-match winning streak. At 3-0-2 this season, the Huskies are off to their best five-game stretch to begin a campaign since 2021.Â
The Bloomsburg men's soccer team gets a break before jumping into the first week of PSAC action. The Huskies' next contest is a ranked matchup on the road against No. 18 East Stroudsburg on Wednesday, October 1.
