Men's Soccer Tabbed Third in PSAC Eastern Division Preseason Coaches Poll

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's soccer team was tabbed third in the Eastern Division of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) as voted on by the league's head coaches in the annual preseason poll on Tuesday.
 
Men's soccer enters the 2026 campaign after a 10-3-6 season in 2025 that culminated in a trip to the PSAC Semifinals. It was the fourth-straight PSAC Tournament berth for the Huskies under head coach Mark Bassett.
 
Sat atop the Eastern Division is the PSAC Runner-up, Millersville. The Marauders received four first-place votes to claim the top spot in the preseason rankings. West Chester was picked second in the East while claiming a pair of first-place votes while the Huskies round out the top three. East Stroudsburg sits just behind the maroon and gold in fourth while Shepherd and Shippensburg take fifth and sixth, respectively.  
 
Gannon takes the top spot in the Western Division for the fifth straight-season after claiming its first-ever PSAC Championship. Seton Hill received on first-place vote while getting picked second in the West while Lock Haven closes out the top three.
 
KEY RETURNERS
The Huskies' top goalscorer from the 2025 season, Owen Hollobaugh (State College, Pa./State College), returns for his senior campaign after recording four goals and three assist his junior year. Across three seasons donning the maroon and gold, the State College native has tallied 13 goals and eight assists.
 
Bloomsburg returns a handful of multi-goal scorers from last season. Senior Jake Pacacha (Shelton, Conn./St. Joseph) and redshirt-sophomore Caleb Sitler (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) each record a trio of goals in 2025.
 
SCHEDULE NOTES
Bloomsburg's 2026 schedule sees the Huskies play an 18-game slate with nine home contests at Steph Pettit Stadium.
 
The maroon and gold kick of the season at home as they are set to host Felician on Thursday, August 27 at 4 p.m.
 
Senior Day will be celebrated early in the season during the Huskies' 3:30 p.m. bout with Goldey-Beacom on Saturday, September 5
 
Bloomsburg opens its PSAC schedule on the road as they head to Shippensburg for a 7 p.m. contest with the Raiders on Wednesday, September 9.
 
The 2026 PSAC Men's Soccer Championship is scheduled to begin on November 1. The PSAC Championship weekend - the semifinal and championship matches - will take place at the highest remaining seed from the Eastern Division November 4 and 8.
