Jarred Berish (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) sits in ninth while men's golf is tied for fifth after the opening round at the WCU Battlefield Classic at The Links at Gettysburg on Monday.

In the first tournament under head coach Chad Anthony, Bloomsburg currently sits at 26-over par.

Looking to go back-to-back at the Battlefield Classic, Berish is alone in ninth place after shooting a three-over par 75. The senior notched a pair of birdies on the day while shooting even-par on the back nine.

Luca Neally (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post) sits in a seven-way tie for 15th, posting a six-over 78 in the first round. The Corning, N.Y. native finished the round with three birdies, highlighted by back-to-back birdies on holes 13 and 14.

Patrick Bush (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) is tied for 22nd at eight-over par 80 while recording two birdies.
