INDIANA, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's golf team sits in 11th after the opening round of the Cecil C. Spadafora IUP Invitational at the Indiana Country Club on Monday afternoon.

Bloomsburg posted a team score of 319 (+35) after the first day of competition. The hosts, IUP, leads after the opening 18 holes, with a combined score of 293 (+9).

Jarred Berish (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) posted the best score for the Huskies, carding a six-over 77 to end the day in a seven-way tie for 36th. The Pottstown native posted 11 pars on the day with a birdie on the par-five 18th.

Luca Neally (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post) finished two strokes back in a tie for 49th, posting an eight-over 79. Neally ended the day with ten pars.
Patrick Bush (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) sits tied for 56th after shooting a nine-over 80 with nine pars and a birdie on 18.

Connor Matteo (Drums, Pa./Hazleton) and
Matt Pulcinella (Chadds Ford, Pa./Garnet Valley) round out the Huskies' squad apart of a four-way tie for 66th with an 83 (+12). Matteo posted six pars and a birdie while Pulcinella notched seven pars.
