The Bloomsburg women's basketball team was defeated by the Edinboro Fighting Scots 60-38.
The Huskies struggled from the field, only making 15 shots out of 51 (29.4%). They also only made three shots out of 17 (17.6%) from deep.
Lex Ferguson (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) led the way for the Huskies with 10 points off of the bench.
Alison Hatajik (Duncansville, Pa./Hollidaysburg) scored eight points and recorded a career high in rebounds with 14.
Maddison Maynard (Lansford, Pa./Panther Valley) scored seven points while
Kelly Leszcynski (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) had two.
From the bench,
Leah Kale (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) scored eight points,
Kalleigh Nerone (Pittsburgh, Pa./Highlands) had two and
Kash Santos (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) recorded one..
First Half:
The bout was close to start with a dominant six points from Hatajik and a three from Maynard in the first. After a layup from Ferguson, the Fighting Scots would slightly pull away, making the lead 18-11. After a layup from Nerone and a three from Kale, the quarter would end 20-16.
The Huskies struggled heavily in the second, only making three field goals. Edinboro brought the lead to double digits to end the second quarter 36-22.
Second Half:
The Huskies could not make whittle down the lead much in the third. With some scoring from Kale, Santos and Maynard, the quarter ended 43-32.
Ferguson scored the final six points for the Huskies, ending regulation with Edinboro winning 60-38.

The Huskies will return to the Nelson Field House to face Shippensburg on Jan. 7 at 5:30 p.m.
