GREENWOOD, Ind. – Three members of the Bloomsburg football team earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-Conference honors, the organization announced Tuesday. Senior quarterback KJ Riley (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) and redshirt junior linebacker Brady Thompson (Green Lane, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) are repeat honorees for the Huskies, while graduate student wide receiver Jack Landis (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) collected the recognition for the first time in his Bloomsburg career.

The Academic All-District Football Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize student-athletes for outstanding combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately honors athletes in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Riley, a business management major from Danville, Pa., adds to an already distinguished resume with his second CSC Academic All-District selection. He is also a three-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete and earned second-team All-PSAC East honors at quarterback this season. Riley completed one of the top offensive seasons in program history in 2025, finishing with 2,568 passing yards, the third-highest single-season total in Bloomsburg history. He threw 26 touchdown passes and averaged 233.5 passing yards per game. Over his career, Riley ranks fifth in school history with 6,891 passing yards and fourth with 56 passing touchdowns. He complemented his passing numbers with 461 rushing yards and seven touchdowns this season. Riley recorded at least one touchdown pass in every game and posted multiple scoring passes in 10 of 11 contests. His 334-yard, three-touchdown performance against Kutztown on November 8 marked the most passing yards the Golden Bears had allowed to any opponent at that point in the year. Riley advanced to the CSC Academic All-America ballot for the first time in his career.

Thompson earned CSC Academic All-District honors for the third consecutive season and is now a three-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete as well. A finance major from Green Lane, Pa., Thompson has anchored the Huskies' defense at linebacker since 2023. In 2025, he appeared in all 11 games and totaled 72 tackles with 5.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, and two pass breakups. Thompson posted a season-best 14 tackles at Fairmont State on September 4 and recorded eight solo stops against Fairmont State and again at Millersville. For his career, Thompson has accumulated 224 tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles, and five pass breakups.

Landis is a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree after previously earning the award at Randolph-Macon College. Now pursuing his MBA, Landis transferred to Bloomsburg and played 11 games for the Huskies in 2025. He finished the season with eight receptions for 86 yards and one touchdown, averaging 10.8 yards per catch. Landis enjoyed his top outing on November 8 against Kutztown with three catches for 30 yards and a score.

Academic All-District honorees were eligible for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America selections will be announced January 27, 2026.
