BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The men's tennis team competed in the
Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Tournament doubles.
Nicolas Mustea (Bonn, Germany/Friedrich-Ebert Gymnasium Bonn) and
Ryder Fink (Cogan Station, Pa./Jersey Shore) started with taking the first round of East Men's Doubles B 6-4. They were later defeated in the second round 6-3.
Yannick Gyomlay (Wettingen, Switzerland/Kantonsschule Baden) and
Fran Hernandez (Malloraca, Spain/La Salle Palma) also picked up a victory in the first round 7-6 (7-3). They also fell in the second round 6-2.Â
In the Main Men's Doubles A Draw, the team of
Jaime Soria (Pamplona, Spain/Liceo Monjardin) and
Alejandro Higuera (Ciudad Obregon, Mexico/Colegio Weston) picked up a victory in the first round 8-6. They were defeated in the second round 8-1.Â
Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia/Russian Gymnasium at the State Russian Museum) and
Jack Seaborn (Cambridge, England/The Leys School) also competed in the draw but lost in a in a hard-fought contest with a score of 8-7 (8-6).Â
The Huskies will continue their participation in the ITA Tournament throughout Oct. 17-20.Â
