WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's basketball team dropped a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) bout to West Chester, 88-59, inside the Hollinger Field House on Wednesday night.

Bloomsburg (6-17, 3-13 PSAC) shot 42.6 percent (20-for-47) from the floor in the contest while going 6-for-17 from the beyond the three-point arc. West Chester (18-6, 12-5) went 31-for-59 (52.5 percent in the contest and drained eight three-pointers.

Kodi Johnson (Folcroft, Pa./Phelps School) led the Huskies in scoring on Wednesday night, recording 12 points on 5-for-8 shooting in just 11 minutes. The freshman notched one triple while also tallying three rebounds and a block.
Xion Nichols (Woodland, Ca./State College Area) posted a perfect shooting performance, going 3-for-3 with a pair of threes and two made free throws. Overall, the bench combined for 45 of the maroon and gold's 59 points.

West Chester grabbed hold of the momentum early with a dunk from Gabe Moss just ten seconds in. Dylan Blair extended the lead 24 seconds later, draining a three from the top of the arc.

Courtney Davis II (Gainesville, Va./Patriot) put an end to the Golden Rams early run, getting Bloomsburg on the board with a turn-around jumper. An alley-oop from the home side pushed sent scoring back in the favor of West Chester as it kicked off a 19-7 run.

Later in the frame, the Huskies began to cut into the Golden Rams' 17-point lead, pulling within 10 with points from
Gabe Springer (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Wallenpaupack) and Nichols. West Chester surged back ahead, taking a 48-27 lead into halftime.

WCU kept up its pace to start the second half, scoring seven unanswered before a pair of free throws from Nichols ended the run. The two sides continued to trade points for much of the second half. A 10-3 run from the Huskies later in the half saw points from
Kaaba Murray (Harrisburg, Pa./Skyline Prep),
Tre Simpson (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) and
Sawyer Floyd (Mount Joy, Pa./Donegal) to pull the score to 78-57. The Golden Rams grabbed the momentum one final time to hand the home side an 88-59 victory.
