First Half:
Ava Stevenson (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) opened the game with five straight points, draining a three and a layup. Maynard was assisted by Leszcynski on a layup to make the lead 7-2, forcing the Marauders to burn a timeout early. The Marauders came out of the timeout with a quick layup. The Marauders then brought the lead within three points, but the Huskies went on a 13-3 run to make the lead 22-9. LaFrance drained two threes, Stevenson made a shot from deep and the duo of Hatajik and Kale both had layups. Millersville battled back to make it 27-18 to end the first quarter.
After some scoring from Leszcynski and Stevenson, LaFrance continued her hot streak as she drained her third straight 3-pointer of the game. Both teams traded buckets where at one point the Maruaders brought it to a two-score game with just over two minutes remaining in the half. Hatajik then made a pair of free throws and made the only 3-pointer for the Huskies that was not from LaFrance or Stevenson to end the half 47-36.
Second Half:
Stevenson started the second half for the Huskies, scoring two buckets to make the lead 51-42. The Marauders did not go away after making two straight layups to bring the game to 51-46 with 5:30 left in the third. Hatajik responded with a layup, but Millersville combated that with a layup of their own. Stevenson made statement by making two straight shots from deep to bolster the lead to nine. Shults and Selverian ended the third with layup and jumper respectively. The Huskies entered the final quarter up 63-54.
The Marauders brought the lead down to five again to start the fourth quarter, but LaFrance was not done from beyond the arc. She hit two straight 3-pointers, one of them giving Leszcynski her seventh assist. Millersville continued to battle, but found themselves down 10 with 16 seconds left. They would get an and-1, but it was too late after Kale made a pair from the charity stripe to stamp another one in the win column.
